What is it?
The Adventures of Big and JD is a playful family-friendly comedy created by Jillian Starr, and is adapted from the script The Conference of Mythical Creatures (Top 10%, Austin FIlm Festival) written by Brian and Jillian Starr.
Why Sasquatch?
We love a big, hairy myth!
Jillian's earliest memory of a mythical creature is watching Leonard Nimoy on "In Search Of..." discuss the myth of Bigfoot. She also grew up in Jersey, so introduction to the Jersey Devil wasn't far behind.
Then decades later, after cracking ourselves up with random mythical stories, Brian suggested turning our jokes into a screenplay. So, these early seeds sprouted into a creative project of mythical proportions! We've had a lot of laughs bringing these characters to life, and hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
