» Northwest Bigfoot Research Association

The NBRA is an independent research organization investigating the Bigfoot phenomenon across the Western United States, with the bulk of our work being done in the Northwest. We conduct expeditions, and follow up on reports in our ongoing effort to prove the existence of Bigfoot. Our biggest challenge, even with technology and experience is as simple as being at the right place at the right time.

The ideals behind the Northwest Bigfoot Research Association were laid in 1996 by brothers Todd and Dave Rautenkranz. Long-time believers in Bigfoot and avid outdoorsmen, they formed the NBRA as a means of channeling resources for the task of bringing concrete evidence of Bigfoot's existence before the scientific community. The researchers at the NBRA organize and undertake trips into the back country of the Pacific Northwest in an ongoing effort to secure evidence in the form of hair and feces samples, footprint casts, sound recordings and video footage. All of these assist in our efforts to prove the existence of this elusive bipedal creature. We maintain a "no-kill" policy because, while a body would provide solid proof, we feel that it would do little to further the long term goal of making a meaningful and long-lasting contribution to the scientific world. We also investigate sighting reports in an effort to ascertain Bigfoot's territorial range, migratory patterns, and population.
